Australian Economic Overview

The Australian economy grew by a strong 4.3% p.a. (s.a.) in the March 2012 quarter (the latest figures available), after an increase of 2.5% p.a. in the December quarter. Government forecasts of 3.25% growth for 2012/13 depend on there being no major negative global shocks to growth.
